ATELIER RENATA S.M. – DECORATION AND REMODELING Lda., with registered offices at Rua Jorge Amado, Lote D, R/C Dtº, Jardim do Armador, Marvila, 1950-351 Lisbon, is a company dedicated to the creation of interior design projects.

Responsible for treatment

As a company dedicated to the development of interior design projects, Atelier Renata Santos Machado needs to collect, access and process personal data related to its main activity, which implies assuming, in this case, the position of Data Controller with all inherent obligations and duties:

Purposes and foundations of treatment

The Renata Santos Machado Atelier processes personal data exclusively for:

A) Execution of contracts of which the data subject is a party, or for pre-contractual diligence at the request of the data subject;

B) Defense of vital interests of the data subject or another individual;

C) Compliance with legal obligations to which the data controller is subject;

D) Carry out legitimate interests pursued by the data controller or by third parties, unless the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject prevail that require the protection of personal data, especially if the data subject is a child;

E) In case the holder has given consent for the processing for one or more specific purposes.

Personal data processing operations

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

The holders of personal data are the individuals to whom the personal data refers, namely, customers, workers, service providers, collaborators, among others, so that Atelier Renata Santos Machado can collect and process different categories of personal data, such as identification and contact data, namely name, address, tax identification number, payment data, email, telephone contact, among others, collected during the provision of services, employment contracts, among others.

The processing of personal data is carried out for different purposes:

The personal data collected from our customers, workers, collaborators, partners, or others, is solely intended to gather the necessary information to provide our services to the data owners and the development of our activity, administrative management, accounting and tax management, including invoicing and accounting; payments; compliance with legal obligations and responses to requests from judicial authorities or other public authorities, under legal terms, fulfilling the legal and contractual obligations inherent to our activity.

The Renata Santos Machado Atelier processes personal data exclusively for the purposes mentioned above and only for the period of time that is necessary or mandatory for the fulfillment of these purposes, with the conservation periods determined for each purpose and appropriate to each treatment, in accordance with our legal obligations.

After the end of the retention period, and provided that we are not legally or administratively obligated to keep it, we delete personal data or proceed with its anonymization.

Confidentiality and secrecy

All of our employees have a duty of confidentiality and information protection, as established in the General Data Protection Regulation, and are obliged to maintain absolute secrecy about any personal, technical, commercial or other information or knowledge, acquired, necessary or inadvertently, during the employment relationship or because of it, relating to Atelier Renata Santos Machado or any other individual or collective person, who is related to it, namely, other workers, clients, relatives, partners and suppliers, unless previously authorized in writing.

Any reproduction, copying, modification, public communication, distribution or any other type of transfer, free or onerous, of documents, software, publications, information contained in databases or any other intellectual material belonging to or related to Atelier Renata Santos Machado or any third party related to it, unless previously authorized in writing.

Subcontractors

The Renata Santos Machado Atelier does not transmit personal data to third parties, except in cases where it is necessary for the provision of contracted services, for the fulfillment of legal obligations, or when consent has been given for this.

For the purposes indicated above, we may need to resort to subcontractors for the processing of personal data and communicate your personal data to the subcontractors involved in the contractual execution, namely, Tax Authority, Social Security, Accounting, Insurance Companies and any other entities legally obliged to provide our services.

However, the transmission of data to third parties is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and within the limits of the purposes and legal bases defined in this Privacy Policy.

Our concern with ensuring secrecy and confidentiality in the handling of personal data extends to our subcontractors or service providers, from whom we demand guarantees of data processing in compliance and in accordance with the processing standards arising from the GDPR.

We assure the holders of personal data the confidence in the handling of their data, secrecy and confidentiality, in accordance with all data handling standards and this Privacy Policy, as well as the orders, instructions and internal procedures respecting the privacy of the data holder.
