Living Room

It is a great pleasure to work with Renata on interior design projects. She is a combination of a straightforward person, giving her opinions quite directly, but at the same time, giving clients space to think and ask all the questions they may have, in a very relaxed environment. She has a sophisticated taste, appreciating the mix of old with modern. A very strong recommendation!

We are working with the Atelier because we are going to do a nearly ground-up construction and we wanted the professional advice of Renata not only in decoration, but also in the preliminary phase of the interior design project. We are very impressed!! Renata is practical, objective, and has been a great professional. The work that her Atelier provides is rigorous and complete. They have been tireless. We are very expectant about the final result and eager to see our house ready.

The Essential

Can you redesign just the layout of the living room without changing everything?

Yes, we can simply optimize the layout and update a few elements to transform the atmosphere.

How long does a living room project take?

It depends on the complexity and size of the space, but on average it takes between 6 and 12 weeks.

Does the project include the selection of fabrics and upholstery?

Yes, we choose fabrics, colors, and textures that combine comfort with aesthetics.

Should the sofa be the central element of the living room?

Not always. The room should be organized around social interaction — the sofa is just part of the conversation.

How can I define different areas in a large living room?

We use rugs, lighting, and furniture to shape distinct zones — without needing walls. The key is fluidity.

What most influences visual comfort?

Lighting. Indirect and adjustable light transforms the atmosphere and enhances textures.

How can I mix styles without losing harmony?

We use a shared neutral palette. Contrasting shapes and materials are welcome — as long as they speak the same visual language.

Does the size of the rug make a difference?

Yes, it’s what unifies the composition. The rug should frame the sofa and armchairs — never “float” in the middle.

How should I position the TV without letting it dominate the space?

It should blend in, not take over. Panels, artwork, or continuous furniture help it disappear when not in use.

Are indoor plants necessary?

Not essential, but highly desirable. Greenery balances the composition and brings life to the space.

Is furniture against the walls a good option?

Only in small spaces. Otherwise, allowing the layout to “breathe” creates a sense of lightness and intention.

How can I keep the space from feeling impersonal?

By adding texture, layers, and small signs of life — books, ceramics, textiles. A home should have rhythm and pause.
